See the real profit of every project.
Built for dev and web studios that sell projects for a fixed price and pay the team a salary. AltOrbit shows each project's real margin as the work happens — not three months later.

Stop counting project profit by hand in Excel.
The three things that decide whether a project made money — and where they hide today.
Profit becomes visible too late
You open Excel at month-end — and discover one project ran into the red while another carried the entire quarter. By now it's too late to change anything: the budget is spent, the client is happy, the team has moved on.
Overtime never makes it into project cost
The team stays late, works weekends — but the report still says “on track.” Those hours land in payroll, but never in the client invoice. Profit quietly melts away.
Team availability lives nowhere
Someone mentioned their vacation in chat, someone forgot, someone called in sick this morning. Without an availability calendar and leave balances, you can't tell who's actually free to work on your project next week.
From hours to margin, automatically.
Set up the project
Tell AltOrbit how the client pays — by the hour or by fixed budget. Add the deadline and assign the team.
The team logs their own hours
Each person enters their own time against tasks — no screenshots, no click counters. They can edit retroactively and tag by project and client.
Salaries become project cost
Each person's hours are multiplied by their rate and added to project cost. Overtime and bonuses too. Rates can be set at five levels: company, team, role, individual person, specific project.
Profit updates in real time
Open the project card and you see revenue, cost and profit as of today. You can catch a project going into the red while it's still salvageable.
P&L on demand — one minute, not a day in Excel.
A full report on any project — revenue, cost, profit, history. Export to CSV or PDF: a ready-to-send file for your accountant, client, or board of directors.

Real control — yours, not the algorithm's.
Screenshots and click counters measure activity, not profit. AltOrbit is not a surveillance tracker — it's a margin engine: your team enters their own hours and tags their own tasks, and the system turns them into real cost and real margin per project. You see results, not mouse movement on someone else's monitor. And you don't lose senior specialists during probation because their desktop is being watched.
Who AltOrbit is for.
First and foremost: dev and web studios on fixed-price contracts — where the price is locked and every extra hour eats the margin.
Studios & agencies
Dev studios, digital agencies and design firms — fixed-price or hourly, with a margin that has to be right.
Production & consulting
Production companies and IT consultancies billing clients for a salaried team's time.
No limits, any plan
No caps on people, teams or projects — on Free or Pro. Grow without re-pricing.
One tab instead of four.
Team channels, company-wide chat, direct messages, threads, mentions. Kudos to colleagues tagged with project and skill flow into the monthly digest and performance reviews. Time tracking, chat, leave and projects — all in one tab, no jumping between Slack, Telegram, BambooHR and Notion.
Want to? Let your client post tasks themselves.
An optional add-on for any project: invite your client — they create requests with the budget they are ready to pay, and you approve or counter with your price. Fixed price per task or a team subscription — both models. Don't need it? Don't turn it on: the portal is off by default, and your project stays team-only.
Security built on three things: access, protection, deletion.
Access
Financial data is visible only to the account owner. An employee sees their own hours and their assigned projects — but not profit figures, not colleagues' rates, not salaries. Access levels are configured per role via RBAC.
Protection
All data is transmitted and stored encrypted. Login is magic-link with two-factor authentication; there are no passwords, so there's nothing to steal. Granular encryption at the level of individual financial records — in active development.
Deletion
Full JSON export — one click, anytime. Account deletion — one click too, no email back-and-forth, no “in case you come back” retention. Your data is yours.
