Acceptable Use Policy
A short list of things you agree not to do with AltOrbit. Designed to keep the service safe, lawful, and pleasant for everyone — including the people on your team.
Fine to do
- Run your team's day-to-day operations
- Track time, projects, leave, payroll
- Chat with your team and across the company
- Export your data any time
- Build internal automations on top of our API
Not allowed
- Anything illegal where you, we, or our cloud lives
- Harassing, threatening, or doxxing anyone
- Storing CSAM, terrorism content, or stolen data
- Using chat for cold outbound or spam
- Probing, scanning, or attacking our systems
Security & integrity
- Don't try to bypass authentication, rate limits, or RBAC scopes.
- Don't load-test our API in production without coordinating with us first.
- Responsible vulnerability disclosure goes to security@altorbit.app — we pay bounties and reply within 24 hours.
Content rules
- No illegal content — child sexual abuse material, terrorism, content that violates IP or privacy law.
- No harmful content — material designed to harass, dehumanise, or organise violence against a person or group.
- No malware — distributing malware, ransomware, or phishing kits via the platform.
Fair use of resources
Plans are sold per active member. Don't share a single seat across many humans, and don't use API access to mirror your workspace data into a clone product. Reasonable internal automation is fine; reselling our service is not.
What happens if you break this policy
We'll usually start with an email and a chance to fix it. For severe violations (illegal content, ongoing attacks, fraud) we may suspend the workspace immediately. Owners get a written explanation and an export window unless we're legally barred from providing one.
Reporting abuse
If a workspace is using AltOrbit to harm you or others, write to abuse@altorbit.app. Include the workspace URL or invite link if you have it. We acknowledge within 1 business day.
